Bang Kapi is located in the central region of Bangkok and is one of the fifty districts present in the city. The neighbouring districts surrounding Bang Kapi are on the other side of the Chao Phraya River as the district is situated on the western bank of the water body, if taken into consideration from the north in the clockwise direction the neighbouring districts would be Bueng Kum, Saphan Sung, Prawet, Suan Luang, Huai Khwang, Wang Thonglang, and Lat Phrao. On the west side of the river, the only land neighbour is Thon Buri District. Bang Kapi is one of the oldest districts of Bangkok with history quite longer than the others, the district had several names till it was permanently changed to Bang Kapi they are, Amphoe Bang Lamphu Lang, Amphoe Buppharam, and finally Amphoe Bang Kapi. Bang Kapi became part of Bangkok city during the year 1971 when Thon Buri and Phra Nakhon districts were merged. The total land area covered by the district is 28.523 square kilometres and it houses a population of around 147,800 as per the census conducted in the year 2017. The subdistrict of Wang Thonglang was elevated to the status of a district on 14th October 1997 and was formed by taking in some part of the Khlong Chan subdistrict with it.
The first thing that comes to mind whenever you think of buying a property to settle down is regarding the amenities that you will get in the location of the property or even in your surroundings. Fortunately, Bang Kapi is a location where these ponderings are irrelevant, the district houses within its boundaries some of the best educational facilities and attractive markets and of course, sky-scraping residences. Some of the best locations in the district are mentioned below.
Wongwian Yai – This is a large traffic circle on the western bank of the Chao Phraya River and is located right where the state of the great King Taksin is present. It intersects between the four sub-districts of two districts, Bang Yi Ruea and Hiran Ruchi of Thon Buri with Somdet Chao Phraya and Bang Kapi of Bang Kapi in the centre of Bangkok, at the intersection of Prajadhipok/ Intharaphithak/ Lat Ya/ Somdet Phra Chao Taksin Roads.
The best healthcare facility in the district as per the locals is the Vethani hospital while the most important educational institution in the district is Ramkhamhaeng University.
The district of Bang Kapi is home to luxurious lifestyles and their properties come with excellent perquisites. Although the money that you have to pay is a bit more than the rest of the country, if you visit this place and get the chance to live locally for a few days around here, you would see why it is worth it. The least that you can spend in order to live near the uneventful parts of Bang Kapi with limited (but still a great deal more than other districts) amenities and proximity towards the farther side from transport and hospitals would be around 20,000 Baht for a month, taking into account your rent and living expenses. To live nearer to the main streets and prime locations in the district you would have to spend around 30,000 Baht each month. The district also has two airport rail link stations, airport rail link Ramkhamhaeng and the other airport rail link Hua Mak.
The real estate market in Bang Kapi is flexible and one of the best markets in the country housing the best of properties with amazing return rates. You can get studio condos for rent in the district by spending around 11,000 to 25,000 Baht a month, towards the uneventful parts of the district. Properties that are far more luxurious are also available but are much expensive, such as duplex condos for rent in the heart of the district with lavish interior can cost you as much as 55,000 Baht a month for rent. Since the most crowded and happening area in the district is around the hospitals and schools, it is where it would cost you the most to buy properties. For example, if you’re looking to settle down in a luxurious single house for rent that is closer to a hospital or school and has access to various other amenities it can cost you around 89,000 Baht just on the rent price, whereas if you are willing to move a little further from these areas you would notice the cost dropped to as much as 15,000 Baht for rent a villa in Bang Kapi. Townhouses for rent can also be found in the area with prices being somewhat similar to the rents of condos, ranging around 20,000 to 50,000 Baht for a month, which is dependent on the location, size, type and age of the property.
Although most of the country is looking for condos to settle down the villas or single houses in Bang Kapi is attracting much more attention. With villas for sale available in the range of 5,500,000 to 58,700,000 Baht which is dependent on the location and type of property, that is whether it is close to facilities like a railway station, or a school, or when it is a little further away and takes a little time to access from the eventful parts of the district. Condos for sale, on the other hand, can be much cheaper and is no doubt the best choice for bachelors. The sale price of condos ranges from around 2,560,000 Bhat if you settle down in the uneventful parts of the district to as much as 9,900,000 Baht if you prefer staying in a much luxurious place near a prime location of the district. Both real estate investors and people looking to find their perfect piece of property in the district and are thrilled by the great prices that are being offered.
As mentioned in the earlier sections of this article, Bang Kapi is a place where you can enjoy thrilling endeavours and participate in numerous adventures. The reasons to invest in the properties of Bang Kapi can be summed up to a welcoming and humble locality, the scope for high returns and because they host some of the best healthcare facilities in the country.
